Huanyu “Larry” Cheng receives chemical engineering lectureship award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Huanyu “Larry” Cheng, the James L. Henderson Jr. Memorial Associate Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Stratis V. Sotirchos Lectureship Award. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of chemical engineering and is presented in conjunction with the Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering.

As part of the honor, Cheng has been invited to deliver a lecture at the opening session of the 15th Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering, scheduled for June 3–5 in Chania, Crete, Greece. He will present his research titled “to an international audience of scholars and professionals in the field.
