Associate director of the Cocoziello Institute of Real Estate Innovation named

Jennifer K. Wagner, assistant professor of law, policy, and engineering and anthropology, will begin the role immediately

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Jennifer K. Wagner, assistant professor of law, policy, and engineering and of anthropology at Penn State, has been named the associate director of the Cocoziello Institute of Real Estate Innovation, effective immediately.

"Jen Wagner's radically collaborative approach and her commitment to leveraging technology for public health make her an ideal fit for this role," said Scarlett Miller, the Paul Morrow Professor of Engineering Design and Manufacturing and director of the Cocoziello Institute of Real Estate Innovation. "Her leadership is expected to greatly enhance our research initiatives and strengthen our partnerships across various sectors."

At the Cocoziello Institute, Wagner works to drive forward the institute's strategic mission, focusing on the intersection of real estate innovation with law, policy and ethical frameworks. Her responsibilities include engaging faculty and students in institute activities, leading the research seed funding program and fostering collaborations with industry professionals in the legal, health care and policy sectors.

Wagner's background includes practicing as a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania and co-founding KTFG Real Estate. Her research focuses on anthroengineering and ethical, legal and social implications research of human genomics and other emerging technologies. Her scholarship, which has been published in numerous high-profile journals, explores the human right to science, nondiscrimination, privacy in genetic and digital health technologies Additionally, Wagner said she is interested in the impact of the built environment on health and communities.
