Elia Merzari appointed associate editor for heat- and mass-transfer journal

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Elia Merzari, professor of nuclear engineering, has been selected to serve as an associate editor for the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer beginning in January 2026.
The International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer is one of the field’s leading peer-reviewed publications, according to the journal’s website, featuring research that advances fundamental and applied knowledge in thermal sciences. According to the journal’s editorial mission, associate editors play a key role in maintaining rigorous scientific standards, strengthening the journal’s impact and supporting emerging directions in heat- and mass-transfer research. As an associate editor, Merzari will help oversee the review process for submitted manuscripts.
