Graduate student wins Best Poster Award at CHIMES Annual Review

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Ramin Rahimzadeh Khorasani, a graduate student in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Penn State, received the Best Poster Award in the Power Delivery Session at the CHIMES Annual Review.
Khorasani, advised by Madhavan Swaminathan, CHIMES director, electrical engineering department head and the William E. Leonhard Professor of Electrical Engineering, was recognized for his poster, "High Voltage Ratio Integrated Voltage Regulator for 1000–2000 W Vertical Power Delivery."
The CHIMES (Center for Heterogeneous Integration of Micro Electronic Systems) Annual Review highlights cutting-edge research in microelectronics, with sessions focused on critical challenges in power delivery, thermal management, packaging and system integration.
Khorasani’s research explores advanced voltage regulator designs for high-power applications, contributing to the development of efficient vertical power delivery solutions essential for next-generation computing systems.
