Penn State INFORMS Student Chapter receives 2025 Summa Cum Laude Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Penn State Student Chapter has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Student Chapter Annual Award at the Summa Cum Laude level, the highest honor bestowed by the INFORMS Chapters and Forums Committee. This recognition celebrates the chapter’s outstanding achievements and commitment to fostering excellence in operations research, analytics and management sciences.
The Penn State Student Chapter of INFORMS provides an extension of the national chapter mission by offering a venue for learning, a catalyst for professional advancement and an opportunity for camaraderie. Student members from business, engineering and science programs collaborate with faculty to organize seminars and discussion groups on emerging methods and applications in Operations Research/Management Science (OR/MS) and Analytics.
The award will be formally presented during the Student Award Ceremony at the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting, to be held Monday, Oct. 27, at the OMNI Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park in Atlanta.
