WHAT: A partnership between Penn State and Westinghouse Electric Co., a leading producer of nuclear technology, was recently featured on several media outlets, including Interesting Engineering, Axios Pittsburgh and World Nuclear News. Penn State submitted a letter of intent to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Feb. 28, the first step in the application process to install an eVinci microreactor, an innovative technology that offers a reliable and safe solution to powering the University’s research facilities and buildings.
