Civil engineering graduate students receive ASCE Central PA Section Student Awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Civil engineering graduate students Xueyang Wang and Mahdi Mirabrishami have been selected to receive the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Central Pennsylvania Section Student Awards for 2025. Each student was chosen by the section’s Student Awards Selection Committee as one of four recipients of a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and promise in the civil engineering profession. 

Both students were invited to attend the ASCE Central PA Section’s Nov. 12 dinner meeting at Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill, where they were formally recognized for their accomplishments. 

The ASCE Central PA Section Student Awards honor students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and dedication to advancing the civil engineering field within the region.
