Julianna Simon receives early career award from international society

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Julianna Simon, the interim director of acoustics and an associate professor of acoustics and biomedical engineering, was awarded a Frederic Lizzi Early Career Award by the International Society of Therapeutic Ultrasound last month in Taipei, Taiwan. This award recognizes and celebrates the achievements of individuals early in their careers in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. Recipients have substantially contributed to the development of therapeutic ultrasound through research findings, commercial development, or clinical practice within 10 years of their graduation.
