Bin Li wins honorable mention at virtual reality industry conference

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Bin Li, associate professor of electrical engineering, was part of a team of three researchers that received the Best Demo Honorable Mention Award at IEEE VR 2024. Affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE VR is “the premier international venue for the presentation of research results in the broad area of virtual reality,” according to the conference website. Li, along with Penn State doctoral student Jiangong Chen, and collaborator Tian Lan from George Washington University, presented their demo “GPT-VR Nexus: ChatGPT-Powered Immersive Virtual Reality Experience.”
