Mechanical engineering research team’s work featured on journal cover

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A paper from a team of Penn State College of Engineering and Los Alamos National Lab (LANL) researchers was featured on the cover of the July issue of Experimental Mechanics, a publication from the Society of Experimental Mechanics.
The research team included Reuben Kraft, professor of mechanical engineering at Penn State, Thomas Hannah, a Penn State mechanical engineering graduate and advanced R&D engineer at LANL, Valerie Martin, a Penn State mechanical engineering graduate and engineer at LANL, and Steve Ellis, an engineer at LANL. The research paper was titled “High Speed Impact Testing of UHMWPE Composite Using Orthogonal Arrays.”
