Huanyu “Larry” Cheng recognized on 2024 Highly Cited Researchers list

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Huanyu “Larry” Cheng, James L. Henderson, Jr. Memorial Associate Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics, was featured on the Web of Science Group’s 2024 Highly Cited Researchers List. Cheng is joined on the list by nine other Penn State researchers from across the University.
Each year, more than 6,000 researchers around the world in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences are selected based on the number of highly cited papers they have produced over the past decade. A paper is considered highly cited if it ranks among the top 1% by citations for field and publication year.
Cheng’s research areas include a host of topics within engineering science and mechanics, including advanced materials and devices, nanoscience, structural and human health monitoring and more. His research has been cited thousands of times according to the Web of Science Group’s database.
