Professor Russell Barton authors predictive analytics textbook

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Russell Barton, Penn State professor of industrial engineering in the College of Engineering and distinguished professor of supply chain and information systems in the Smeal College of Business, authored a recently published textbook. The book, “Predictive Analytics for Business Using R,” focuses on predictive analytics, which are what can be forecast based on data and with what certainty, according to the book’s description.
