UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — William Bahnfleth, professor of architectural engineering, was honored with the Standards Achievement award from ASHRAE, formerly the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, on June 22 at the society’s annual conference in Indianapolis.
The award recognizes excellence in volunteer service for developing ASHRAE’s standards and guidelines, according to the society’s website. Bahnfleth led the task force that created new standards, which were approved by ASHRAE in 2023, for indoor air quality.
