What: A neuroimaging study by Nanyin Zhang, professor of biomedical engineering and Dorothy Foehr Huck and J. Lloyd Huck Chair in Brain Imaging at Penn State, was recently featured by PsyPost, a psychology and neuroscience news website dedicated to reporting the latest research on human behavior, cognition and society. The study identified a link between respiration and neural activity changes in rats, suggesting that breathing might modulate neural responses across the brain. The findings were published in the journal eLife.
