Engineering the next generation of leaders

Penn State hosted a Clark Scholars gathering for the Northeast region in March. The Clark Scholars are undergraduate engineering students from universities across the Northeast who are part of the A. James Clark Scholars Program. The Penn State Clark Scholars are supported by a $15.5 million investment from the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation, which was matched by Penn State with $10 million in 2019. The scholars came together for three days of a variety of activities, including tours of the University Park campus, leadership panels, networking events, engineering design challenges and a reception on March 3, where Clark Foundation leadership and Penn State leadership, including President Neeli Bendapudi and Interim Provost Justin Schwartz, gave welcome remarks, pictured here
