Nine newly promoted engineering faculty honored through library books

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Recently tenured and promoted Penn State faculty across the University were honored Oct. 2 through Penn State’s Promotion and Tenure Recognition Program, now in its 21st year.
As part of the tradition, each newly tenured or promoted faculty member is asked to select a book title for the University Libraries’ permanent collection and to submit a personal statement explaining why they chose that book.
The following engineering professors, listed with their book selections, were honored.

- Julianna Simon, associate professor of acoustics and biomedical engineering
