UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Damien Guého, a Penn State doctoral student in aerospace engineering, was awarded the Guidance, Navigation and Control Graduate Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He received $2,500 from the institute’s Guidance, Navigation and Control Technical Committee.

Guého was among 25 undergraduate and graduate students who were awarded over $100,000 in academic scholarships and educational grants from AIAA to support the next generation of aerospace professionals, according to the institute.

A member of the Control and Analysis of Stochastic Systems Lab under Puneet Singla, Penn State associate professor of aerospace engineering, Guého focuses his research on data-driven analysis of dynamical systems, particularly for space, air or robotics applications.

AIAA is the world’s largest aerospace engineering technical society that brings together 30,000 members from industry, academia and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space and defense.
