Ezra Clark joins Department of Chemical Engineering

3/25/2022

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Ezra Clark joined Penn State as an assistant professor of chemical engineering on Jan. 1. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisville and a doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Clark previously completed a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Technical University of Denmark.

“I’m interested in developing electrochemical processes to enable the synthesis of commodity chemicals and fuels from various sources, including carbon dioxide and water, to make such processes more sustainable,” Clark said. “I also want to better understand how the electronic properties of materials affect chemical reactions occurring on their surfaces and how these properties can be modified to improve the efficiency of electrochemical processes.”
